ELLENDALE, N.D. -- Facing an improved Trinity Bible squad, Presentation?s volleyball team outlasted the Lions in four sets Tuesday in Ellendale.
?The Saints won by scores of 25-21, 25-23, 24-26, 25-10. Saints coach Chelsey Albrecht said her team faced a different team than the last time the schools met Sept. 18 at the Strode Center.
??Trinity definitely came ready to play, and were much more improved than a month ago,? said Albrecht. ?We had to work harder for kills and they did a nice job of getting us out of system.?
?Megan Goedert tallied 17 kills and three ace serves to pace the Saints, with 11 kills from Karly Fuhrman. Mo Bunney finished with five ace serves and 22 set assists.
??We were able to finish when we needed to in the first two sets,? Albrecht said. ?In the third set, we had our chances, but made a couple of errors back-to-back, and gave them momentum.?
?That momentum didn?t last long as PC took out Trinity quickly in the fourth set.
??I told the girls going into the fourth set, we need to have control and be ready to play,? Albrecht said. ?Mo did a really nice job of serving and getting them out of system.?
?The Saints improved to 4-21 with the win and will conclude their season with visits to Mount Marty in Yankton on Friday and Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell on Saturday.
